Scout Camp

Today I was at Boy Scout Camp as the high councilor. I spent a lot of time with Brother Miller, who is currently the Stake Young Men’s president. It was interesting to talk to him. I love talking to him because he always lets me know that things will work out fine, and lets me know that I do not need to worry about things as much as I do.

As we were spending time together, he started talking about when he was the bishop. I asked him what he would do differently, knowing what he knows now. He said he would spend more time with the youth. He said a few other things, but this is what I mostly felt was important. I also found it significant that he began this conversation, and gave me the opportunity to ask about his experiences.

Sarah was talking with Bishop Polizotto’s wife today and she mentioned that the President Ward once told her that many men could be bishops but because of their wife, they aren’t able to. Sarah told me she decided she needed to live her life so she can be worthy enough for me to hold that calling.
