The trip to Alaska with Sarah and the kids was so great. I loved that we limited electronics and everyone brought books. I loved that the places seemed a little out of touch. I loved that people seemed to go a little slower. l loved that the grocery stores weren’t stocked overnight, but in the morning when everyone was shopping. I loved how big the mountains were.
One time when we were up really high on a mountain I went to get some waters for everyone. When I turned around I saw Sarah and the kids just happy, having fun, sitting by huge windows that overlooked an amazing mountain range. I felt like we were at the same time tiny in a big universe and yet so big I couldn’t wrap my arms around all of us.
