My and my brother Bob and a birthday party – probably mine since I have that hat on.
This is a “My Buddy” doll – which was basically a baby doll for boys. There was a song “My Buddy and Me” that we would sing all the time that was a commercial.
Me and Grandma Alexander playing checkers.
This bike was a staple in our family. I think my parents bought it from a bike store that was run by a guy in the church. It had a big blue banana seat. Sometimes kids would make fun of me for the big seat, but my parents convinced me it was better than a small seat. We eventually painted the bike and gave it to one of my siblings.
This is the stairs in our house up to our bedrooms and the Erskines hanging out at our home.
This must be one of the first days of school because you can see our bus tags pinned onto our shirts. They had the bus number we were supposed to be riding so we got on the right bus.
When dad was home we loved doing the “Flying Woestmans” – which was a super basic acrobatics show that we would then sometimes do for the church talent show. Dad would throw us in the air and we’d jump up on his shoulders and thought we were so talented.
Playing with Grandpa Alexander.
