This haircut was the only real haircut I got from a barber as a kid. Jeff Weddle from the ward was a barber, and I went to him to get a haircut. He gave me some hairwax to use all the time to get this amazing spikey look.
Door Store…the weekly bag of adds and magazines that we delivered on Mondays to homes in the area for our “kid job.” We did this for years and years…the money was put into our mission and college savings.
Every Saturday we would put all the adds on the kitchen table then walk through picking them up and placing them in individual bags. Then on Monday we would deliver them to mailboxes…hanging out of the passenger car window.
This was the first rider lawn mower I ever drove. Eventually when I was older grandpa would let me drive it on my own in their backyard. This must have been taken on a Sunday because it looks like I have my Sunday best on. We had to keep our Sunday best on all day after church to remember it was the Sabbath.
When Andy was born, a Little Ceasars had just opened up close to our house. Aunt Nancy bought us pizza and took care of us while dad was at the hospital with mom. Because they were having their grand opening, we all got hats.
We always had a pool in our backyard. As we got bigger, it got bigger. We spent tons of time in the pool and loved swimming.
This was my Sunday School class at church. Sister Jenson was one of my teachers for a long time. She was a good friend of the family.
Every Christmas my parents would have us siblings put on a Christmas play for our extended family. Usually I was Joseph and Maria was Mary. We spent months practicing and making the props.
