Elly and I had our annual Daddy Daughter Dance today, but because of COVID they put together a date night for all of the dads and daughters.
Elly was so excited to be spending the night with me. She was looking forward to it for days, and Sarah made sure we had the house to ourselves. We turned on the music list they had prepared and watched the how to video to make sure we made the food correctly. After dinner we went and got ice cream and came back and watched a movie together.
It was really fun for me to see how excited she was for the night and how much she wanted to just feel special and that she felt that because I was spending the time with her.
I was so happy that I was able to spend that time with her and that she loves me enough to want to spend the time with me.
