This weekend Sarah and I went to the city for our anniversary. We ate at an amazing pizza place and went to the Aire bathhouse. I think that’s a fun new tradition that we started doing that’s super relaxing – staying at our favorite Hyatt Regency hotel on the river, having a great dinner, then going to the bathhouse the next morning.
I feel like this last year has taught me a lot about relationships. I cherish my relationship with Sarah more than ever, and feel like the relationship is more meaningful than ever.
I think some of this has happened because we are being more vulnerable with each other. This opens up a new world with new emotions. I think it has been an honesty year for us as we continue to process how we want our lives to be in the future and compare that to how our life has been in the past. I think it has been a recognition year as we reflect and recognize things about our lives that we weren’t open to reflecting on.
We are doing all of these things together, which means we are learning and growing together, hopefully intertwining our future together in a way that gives us extra support and love and joy.
