This weekend I was especially grateful for the time I was able to spend with my family. I think that has definitely been a blessing of this whole pandemic: my recognition of how happy my family makes me and how blessed I am to have such a great family.
Some things we did this weekend include:
- Banging holes in our office ceiling to see if we can install can lights
- Teaching the kids how to play ultimate frisbee
- Riding our bikes to the library only to realize they are closed for Labor Day weekend
- Hiking around Lake Geneva
- Getting Pizza in Geneva, WI together
- Watching Cool Runnings as a family on our new projector Sunday evening
All of these things brought my joy and smiles.
I think the hardest part of the weekend for me was having to spend time away from my family on Sunday to attend to my Bishop responsibilities.
I am super blessed.
