Jackson really shined with Robotics this year. He took the lead when the team was young and has become a really strong leader as well as has learned most of the aspects of robotics. He is super well rounded in his understanding of all aspects of robotics. I am so proud of the young man he is growing into.
Elly is growing up so fast. She loves spending time with her friends and loves helping other people. She did a great job with school this past year, graduating from elementary school and going into junior high.
I love that she was always so excited to go to the Daddy/Daughter dance every year with me. And it was so fun that Sarah always helped so we could be there together.
On our East Coast trip we stopped in Scranton to see sights from “The Office” and try some of the pizza. We went to find the sign at the beginning of the show, and it’s not outside anymore – they moved it into a mall!
In Washington DC on our East Coast trip we rented scooters and drove around to all of the sights. It was a lot of fun – other than when our scooters got stuck and wouldn’t move anymore between two of the sights. We saw all the sights on scooters during the day and then redid the tour at night.
When we were in New York we saw the Broadway production of Hamilton.
Sarah and I went to a Coldplay concert with Betsy and Brad in Soldier Field Chicago. It was the crazy-coolest concert I’ve ever been to. It was so much fun to feel part of something so big after years of COVID and not being in crowds.
I went with the boys to a few days of Aaronic Priesthood camp this year. It was fun to go camping with them.
Parker went to his first year of space camp. He won the “best camper in the whole group” award – which they only give to one person out of the entire week’s crew. I was so proud of his desire to go down there on his own and for his recognition.
Every year the state of Michigan closes down the Mackinaw Bridge and people can walk over it. We have heard Sarah tell stories of this for so many years but this year we were able to do it as a family!
When we went to Fargo trip, we stopped at a museum that ended up having some really cool structure
