The sand park in Cincinnati was always a fun place to go. We would usually go with the Erskines, and mom wouldn’t let us wear our shoes because of the sand. Sometimes the sand was super hot, and it would hurt your feet.
All of the slides were rolley slides, and every once in a while we would get our fingers pinched in them – especially the big slide, which was kind of scary.
But we always loved going to it.
Going to Michigan always meant taking the raft out on the lake to go swimming. Grandpa always let us take turns driving, which we thought was so cool.
This is the annual Christmas nativity play, which our parents made us do every year for the extended family.
